The Engaging
Science program is designed to help BC teachers implement the science
curriculum in the new Integrated Resource Package (IRP). The program's
mandate is to deliver:
Hands-on, teacher training workshops in every region of BC. Classroom learning resources, including activity workbooks, kits, videos and electronic media. Demonstrations of classroom technology applications and strategies, such as interactive teleconferencing events, websites, chat rooms and other connectivity solutions. The core of our program is a setof innovative teacher training workshops designed to introduce fun activities and lesson ideas to K-7 teachers. The workshops are presented by staff of the three Engaging Science partners: the H.R. MacMillan Space Centre, Science World and the Vancouver Aquarium. |
